Shape Divider - Style triangle
Welcome to My Poetry Collection
This is a space where words become vessels of introspection, capturing moments of faith, struggle, and the search for meaning in a complex world. Poetry, for me, is not just an art form but a deeply personal journey—a way to connect with the spiritual, the existential, and the emotional landscapes that shape our lives.
Each poem here reflects a facet of my experience, whether it's grappling with the challenges of faith, exploring the depths of human resilience, or confronting the realities of conflict and identity. I invite you to delve into these verses, to reflect and perhaps see your own journey mirrored in the words.
Feel free to browse through my collection, where each poem is a narrative, a meditation, or an expression brought to life through language. Thank you for taking the time to engage with my work. I hope these poems offer you not just resonance but also a moment of reflection and connection.

"An Answered call" - Introspection / Spiritual Reflection
An Answered Call
by Caleb Minson
I’m on my knees crying out to you
Please show me all that you can do
I am not worthy, I know it’s true
But just one glimpse to feel anew
I press my face into the floor
I pray and pray then pray some more
Just as I am about to stand
I hear a knock on my heart's door
“It’s open wide
Please come inside”
I say with tears my soul revived
I did not think that you would come
My knees were starting to feel numb
So stay and make yourself at home
My biggest room, make it your own
I just want to talk awhile
The fact you’re here, I can’t stop my smile
My biggest room it’s not enough
Here You can have all my stuff
I know it’s dingy and rather rough
But it’s all I have
Life without you is very tough
My Son, he said with a warm embrace
As a tear ran down my dirty face.
All you have is all I need
I’ve been waiting for you my call to heed
To open the door and let me in
To give me your all, then I saw a grin
I’m here my child, to stay as long
As you continue to press on

"Awareness Amid the Ripple" - Faith / Spiritual Journey
Awareness Amid the Ripples
by Caleb Minson
I stood in front of that little pond
It was still enough to see beyond
A reflection staring back at me
A captured frame, a moment free
Just then a rock was swiftly thrown
And ripples blurred what once was shown.
Now fear and doubt did settle in
The noise became a growing din.
I searched within for signs of life
The faintest breath, a subtle rife.
Was I ever there
I was unaware
My deepest thoughts are now laid bare.
Amid the turmoil and silent cries
I’m seeking truth where shadows lie.
Just before I gave up hope,
Sliding down that steep bank slope,
Down deep to a sudden end,
I heard a voice float on the wind.
The ripples cleared, the fear ignored,
Awareness dawned, my soul restored.

"Grasping for Grace" - Faith / Struggle and Redemption
Grasping for Grace
by Caleb Minson
I stand alone in darkness
The light around is blurred
From where does it originate
From here, a voice is heard
No here, it's over here
A cacophony of noise
Discernment rendered useless
My mind has lost all poise
I drop down to my knees and cry
The path remains aloof
Deception lurks with every step
There is no blatant proof
Dear Lord please take my outstretched hand
And lead me where you are
Without your grace and warm embrace
The dark sky has no star

"Shadows of Faith" - Faith / Seeking Understanding
Shadows of Faith
by Caleb Minson
From far I gaze upon your might
But knowing you is dark as night
I reach to you to no avail
I seek to walk on your Holy trail
To drink the water you offer those
Who hear and see you unopposed
But with black eyes I stumble on
Recalling tales of men so strong
Noah, Abraham, and the 12 you called
To Paul who taught of love for all
I long to feel your warm embrace
But fear you'll go and leave no trace
Please call and let me hear your voice
So I see the path to make my choice
To know the truth of who you are
And close the gap to near from far.

"The American Armed Forces Member" - Military / Resilience and Sacrifice
The American Armed Forces Member
by Caleb Minson
Head held high, alert, unyielding.
A tideless ocean,
Detached from emotion.
The poster child for bravery,
Always doing what’s expected.
If you look close though you’ll see
A chink in the mail.
It’s human intellection.
Fear and doubt in the mind will ingress.
Causing physical and mental distress.
365 hits from all sides.
Carrying comrades, just struggling to stay alive.
Blood on my boots and rips in my clothes.
Seeing kids proselytized as militant foes.
Taken back, overwhelmed, as someone yells, “Go!”
We all hope for a break from the rigid formation.
Only what waits is more devastation.
A man in the mirror, a helpless duplication.
An expeditious evolution, desperate for provocation.
Obligation terminated there are two paths before you.
Victimization or a life alteration.
Savoir-faire can be our companion.
Look to tribulation from experiences now past,
To grow imminent strength and staying steadfast.
Success is for the taking just reach out and grab it.
We’ve learned resoluteness it’s a part of our fabric.
So hold your head high, stay alert and unyielding.
Advance with a purpose, remember to stay limber.
Never forget you're an American Armed Forces Member.

"Individuality" - Existential / Identity and Self-Reflection
Individuality
by Caleb Minson
From deep within I lifelessly gaze at the parapet
Imminently dissolving around an artificial entity.
The melancholy smile, the assumed display of contentment.
Impetuously longing for purpose, just to be existent.
"Others withstand your torment," they claim
"Yet rise above the strain."
This doesn't nourish, it spirals consciousness
Confirming nonexistence.
I'm not unique, despite what I've been told
Mass-produced bionic creatures
Indistinguishable mortal souls.
Why perpetuate a revolving door
Commensurate, void of passage.
Still clinging on to aspirations
Individuality remains unsoiled.

"Kabul" - War / Conflict and Loss
Kabul
by Caleb Minson
Frenzied, panicked, grief-stricken, the wailing of women and child
Two decades of freedom vanished.
Companionless and reviled,
“Those that will not stand themselves,
We’ll not stand with those.”
“But wait, you’ve taken down the roof.
You’ve left us all exposed.”
The bedrock you raised beneath our feet
Autonomy you taught
Ideas concealed before became now more than just a thought.
Pretense sovereignty disintegrates under theocratic thugs.
As panicked mortals fall from skies
To a certain ferocious demise.
Mothers cede babies to soldiers on a wall
Christians and fellow Countrymen covertly dissolve
As radical incendiary goons patrol seeking out this perceived cabal.
